We are expecting hotter than normal weather conditions over the next couple of days. While it’s not unusual for us to get heat like this at least once before summer break, it’s a good time to remind students about the importance of dressing for the weather, wearing sunscreen and staying hydrated.
We are also encouraging staff and students to take mask breaks when it’s safe to do so. Staff are welcome to open windows and doors, and to use fans near open windows (on the advice of Public Health). Additionally, at many schools, custodial staff will be opening windows and turning on air handling units when the air temperature is cooler (later in day and early in the morning).
Stay safe and stay cool.
