When Cameron Crouse, a grade 6 student at BES, heard about an ailing student at his school he decided he wanted to help. Cameron’s school was holding a fundraiser for grade 2 student, Hailey Rodenhiser, who has recently been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Without hesitation, Cameron asked his mother if he could give the money he had been saving from his flyer delivery job to Hailey and her family. On February 13, when BES held their “Wear your Pajamas to School” fundraiser, Cameron donated $100.
At the age of 3, Cameron was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome so he knows what it is like to be sick. Fortunately, today Cameron is healthy and active, but perhaps his childhood illness has led Cameron to be the selfless, conscientious young man he is today. Thank you, Cameron for being such a great example!
