South Shore Regional School Board (SSRSB)

The South Shore Regional School Board (SSRSB) was formed in August 2004, when the Province of Nova Scotia dissolved the Southwest Regional School Board and created two regional Boards – SSRSB and Tri-County Regional School Board. SSRSB is responsible for providing education to the 59,000 residents of Lunenburg and Queens counties, an area of 5250 square kilometres.

Regional and school-based staff manage our school system. Staff provide education programs and services to all students; operate and maintain schools; provide transportation; and employ regional staff, school administrators, teachers, administrative assistants, librarians, custodians, program support assistants, computer technicians and school bus drivers.
