Day 1 Introduction to Interoception Workshop
Date: August 22

Intended Audience: Educators, Mental Health Professionals, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Behaviorists, Medical Personnel, Administrators, Parents and other Family Members, Self-Advocates
Overview: This training is designed to provide a solid understanding of interoception and the current methods available for assessing and developing interoception. Throughout this training, many videos, audio clips and real-life examples are shared in order to illustrate the application of all concepts.
This training is divided into 3 main sections:
• Section 1: Overview of Interoception including what it is, what research tells about Interoception and how it applies to important areas such as toileting, eating, health management, emotional control and social skills.
• Section 2: Briefly covers assessment of Interoception, including an overview of the Comprehensive Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness.
• Section 3: Practical, evidence-based strategies for improving Interoception, including coverage of the brand new step-by-step protocol for improving Interoception.
Day 2 For Professionals: Advanced Application of Interoception Assessment & Intervention

Intended Audience: Individuals that will be leading the assessment and interventions for Interoception including: Educators, Mental Health Professionals, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Behaviorists, Medical Personnel, Administrators, Parents and other Family Members
Overview: This interactive training is designed for individuals who completed the Introduction to Interoception course. Many hands-on opportunities for guided practice of assessment and intervention strategies are included in this training.
This training is divided into 2 main sections:
• Section 1: An in-depth look at the Comprehensive Assessment for Interoceptive Awareness. All three sub-assessments will be covered in detail.
• Section 2: Thorough coverage of a structured protocol for improving Interoception. Discussion allotted on the practical application of strategies and tips on embedding strategies within routines.
