Today is National Aboriginal Day, a day to provide all Canadians with an opportunity to learn more about Indigenous people and show their respect for their vast contribution to Canada. National Aboriginal Day was proclaimed by then Governor General Romeo Leblanc in 1996 and takes place each year throughout Canada on June 21.
We encourage you to participate in this celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ culture and heritage. There is a celebration in Liverpool from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. For details, see the poster below.
