We have two recent senior leadership staffing announcements to share with our SSRCE community.
On October 31st, Nancy Pynch-Worthylake completed her time as Acting Regional Executive Director (RED). Paul Ash remains on leave from the RED position fulfilling the role of Acting Executive Director, African Canadian Services Branch at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, Elwin LeRoux, has appointed Angela Gladwin as SSRCE’s Acting Regional Executive Director.
Angela has 15 years experience in educational leadership roles including coach, principal, Coordinator of Programs and MTSS and her most recent experience as the Director of Program and Student Services in the SSRCE. She is passionate about instructional leadership, and building the collective efficacy of school teams to ensure each student is successful in our system.
As a result of Angela’s new appointment, Stephen Johnson is stepping into the role of SSRCE’s Acting Director, Programs and Student Services.
Stephen has 16 years of experience in educational leadership roles including vice principal, principal, and most recently has been the Coordinator of Evaluation and Principal Support in the region. He is excited about continuing to support principals and working with the regional education team.
