Today, the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development announced the holiday break will be extended, with most students returning to class on Monday, January 10, 2022. Teachers and other school staff will return on Tuesday, January 4.
The extended break allows families to monitor students for COVID-19 symptoms before they return to school. It also allows more time for schools to ensure enhanced public health measures in place.
