If you are a potential high school graduate currently enrolled in a SSRSB school, you may need to include a reference letter with an application for:
- Post-secondary program (college or university)
- Exchange program
- Apprenticeship opportunity
- Scholarship, grant or bursary application
Reference letters can also be requested from sources other than school staff. For example: coaches, program leaders, employers, and so on.
The Superintendent of Schools, Scott Milner, has written a letter that you can include in your application package. This letter provides context to receiving institutions/organizations regarding the current labour dispute between the Nova Scotia Teachers Union and the provincial government.
