Update from Mental Health Child and Adolescent Team

Hello to all the students and families of SSRCE,

The school Mental Health Team is continuing to reach out to students and is offering telephone sessions–or for those who want to, video zoom sessions. We are also still taking referrals to our Adolescent Outreach program as they are still available for supporting students on the telephone, and are looking into finding fun/creative ways to connect with their students online. If you are a student who had an appointment to meet with a mental health professional and have not heard from us, please reach out to your guidance counselor, Schools-Plus worker, or Adolescent Outreach Worker. If you have not heard from us it may be that we did not have contact information for you or the permission needed to contact you at home. We want to make sure you are supported. We are here, we are available. Please reach out. To contact Mental Health directly you can call (902) 543-5400 and they will connect you. If you have never accessed mental health and would like to speak with someone please call our toll free line 1-855-922-1122. Please stay safe and stay home. We will connect with you there!

I hope all of you are safe and well. Looking forward to getting back to routine and normalcy. If you need anything please let me know. Hope to talk and see you all soon!

Sincerely,
