This month, our schools will celebrate African Heritage Month, through special events, activities and learning opportunities in and out of our classrooms. Each February, and throughout the year, our schools focus on the history, culture, and achievements of African descent people. As we reflect on our shared history and understanding of the contributions and traditions, all of this information assists in shaping our understanding and cultural awareness.
